Business experience
Stephanie has been a Director and Principal Corporate Psychologist for Insight
Matters since 2000, prior to which she was Technical Director of McKenzie Consulting
Group (including pre-2001 McKenzie Carrick). Before that
she served as an Occupational Psychologist and 2IC for Saville & Holdsworth in Singapore and SE Asia while
still in her twenties, developing a pragmatic understanding of business
realities from an early age.
She has consulted as a Corporate Psychologist
and Coach for 18 years, assisting business leaders at vice-president, partnership
and country-head levels with maximising their own and their staff's performance.
Qualifications
Stephanie's tertiary education is in both
Psychology and Business, from the UK. She has also been schooled
in Executive Coaching by the best in the field - the British ex-Olympic gold-medallists
group who originated the concept of business coaching in the 1980s.
She has further undertaken - and herself
taught - numerous occupational assessment courses; a highly regarded psychometric
specialist, Stephanie has qualified other psychologists to British Psychological Society Level 2 competence in Occupational Testing and Personality Profiling.
Stephanie has an unusual depth of technical skill and objectivity with regard to
dealing with human characteristics in occupational settings and, consequently, a reputation for highly effective behavioural and cultural interventions. She uses some of the very
best profiling, 360°-feedback and coaching
technologies to assist leaders with their professional development, career change,
succession planning and team dynamics.
Style
Stephanie employs a unique mix of psychological
understanding and coaching methodology, to create quick and easily sustained
change. Hers is a sophisticated, efficient, yet deeply 'human' approach to
the pursuit of business and personal outcomes.
Her style is objective, open
and supportive, and makes full and respectful use of the often considerable
intellects of her executive clients. She places a great deal of emphasis on
building of self- and other-awareness, assisting executives
to develop an astute understanding of what makes their colleagues and staff tick
so as to work most effectively with them.
Stephanie also has plenty of experience
with cross-cultural and expatriate issues, having herself worked extensively
in the UK, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand,
and with many US executives.
She has a particular passion for quickly
alleviating stress and mood concerns in senior people, who often feel
under inordinate pressure to appear unaffected by ubiquitous human
stressors such as time pressure and other people's challenging behaviour or
personalities.
